About Us:
Eaton Mountain in Skowhegan, has offered lift serviced skiing since 1961 and boasts a full range of terrain in the classic New England style. The area is family owned and operated with new owners since 2008. We are working to rebuild Eaton Mountain as a convenient and affordable family-friendly ski area. Ski areas like Eaton fill an important industry niche by breeding new skiers/boarders and maintaining interest in the sport by providing a close-to-home alternative to the higher priced large areas. In 2010 we reopened with an all new snowtubing park. For 2012, we hope to have the chairlift up and running for natural snow/daytime skiing & snowboarding. Looking ahead, we have several improvements in mind. It will take some time (and lots of money) to make them all reality, but some of the our plans include:

A beginner lift and slope with lights and snowmaking

Development of ski and snowboard instruction programs

Major improvements to the lodge including a new ski shop and restrooms

Restoration of lights and snowmaking to the top of the hill
